Genevieve Hamblen
Principal Designer & Founder
Genevieve founded GNH Designs with a single conviction: that a beautifully designed home should feel effortless to live in. With over a decade of experience working with discerning clients across the Mid-South, she brings a rare combination of architectural rigor and warm, personal sensibility to every project.
Genevieve is the principal designer of GNH Designs. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she grew up appreciating gracious and beautiful Southern interiors. She loves creating classic, elegant spaces that use traditional pieces, current trends, and color for curated, individualized looks for her clients. Genevieve graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She attended an award winning Interior Design program in Overland Park, Kansas, receiving her certificate in Interior Design. Genevieve worked for talented designers in Kansas City and Memphis before opening her own business in 2015. She is a member of the Interior Design Society (IDS #7776) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Genevieve has extensive experience in new construction and works directly with contractors and architects in the Mid-South to help clients achieve the homes of their dreams. She takes great pride in managing projects from start to finish and loves getting to know families and designing beautiful spaces for them to live in. She lives with her husband, Jason, and two dogs. In her free time she loves running outdoors, sharing delicious food and wine with friends, and spending time with her family. She is known for her ability to listen — to translate a client's instincts and aspirations into spaces that feel inevitable.

We believe the most enduring interiors are built on restraint — on knowing what to leave out as much as what to put in. Every element we introduce must earn its place, whether through beauty, function, or meaning.
Our process is deeply collaborative. We spend time understanding how you move through your home, what you reach for in the morning, how you want to feel at the end of the day. That knowledge shapes every decision we make.
We work with a trusted network of craftspeople, artisans, and vendors — many of them local to Memphis and the Mid-South — to source pieces that are made to last and made with care.
